Mercury
Mercury was Ford’s premium mid-range brand, created in 1938 by Edsel Ford to bridge the gap between everyday Fords and luxury Lincolns. Across seven decades, Mercury produced stylish coupes, sedans and later SUVs that blended comfort, V8 performance and attainable luxury, with icons such as the Cougar, Marauder and Grand Marquis building a strong enthusiast following. Although the marque was retired in 2011, classic Mercury models remain sought-after among collectors for their distinctive American character and close ties to Ford’s muscle and luxury.
