SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR showing just 8,340 miles on the odometer at the time of this cataloging. Finished in Ford Racing Blue with white accent striping over a two-tone black and blue leather interior, this Shelby-enhanced S550 Mustang is offered with the manufacturer’s digital window sticker, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title.
Extreme performance and unparalleled exclusivity are two of the things that Shelby American has excelled at for over 60 years, ever since the company first started partnering with the Ford Motor Company. When Shelby engineers got their hands on the S550-series GT500, they created what became known as the “King of the Road” – and the name was fitting for a long list of reasons. Between 2020 and 2022, only 60 GT500s per year received the coveted “KR” treatment, which included the installation of a 3.8-liter Whipple supercharger to go with the already-powerful Predator V8.
This muscular Racing Blue supercar, bearing CSM number 21KR0037, comes with carbon fiber exterior and interior trim, a Magneride suspension, and beefy Brembo brakes. But it also carries special provenance in addition to its impressive spec sheet: The engine bay was signed by two of Shelby American’s prominent figures: Gary Patterson, President, and Kash Singh, marketing manager and professional driver.
The car has been Ford-serviced and enthusiast-owned, showing accident-free history and tidy finishes both inside and out. Boasting 900 eager horsepower, a Borla-engineered exhaust system, and track-ready Michelin tires, this GT500KR is potent enough to get just about anyone into trouble if they aren’t careful enough. But for those adventurous enough to take the reins, it’s an exclusive, low-mileage pony car that looks, drives, and sounds just like a King of the Road should. It would make a royal addition to any car collection.
The CARFAX report shows service at Planet Lincoln in Dallas in May 2024. Additional services included an antifreeze check, brake check, drive belt, maintenance inspection in April 2023. There are said to be no outstanding mechanical needs at this time.
The CARFAX report classifies this as an accident-free, damage-free vehicle with ownership in Oklahoma, Texas, Nevada, and Montana. The seller has provided a photo gallery as well as a series of videos showing a drive-by, an interior ride-along, an exterior walk-around, and a cold start.
This 2021 Shelby is said to be free of substantial imperfections.
This 1-of-60 King of the Road was aptly named. It’s a supercar that seamlessly blends extreme performance, refined handling, and limited production into an exclusive vehicle that wears the Shelby American name with pride. Few people will ever experience it, and even fewer will get to own one.
