Tuxedo Black, red interior, fuel-injected swagger—this 1959 Corvette C1 is American icon energy, restored to perfection and ready to steal the spotlight.
Overview
SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 1959 Chevrolet Corvette convertible showing 4 miles on the odometer at the time of this cataloging. Finished in Tuxedo Black over a red vinyl interior, this restored C1 is offered by County Corvette with recent service records and a clear title.
The innovative first-generation Corvette was the first American car to use a fiberglass body, and while early models were engineered for carefree cruising, a later V8 engine (and especially a fuel-injected variant) gave the car strong performance credentials. As the Corvette evolved, its aesthetics were also refined. In 1959, the exterior lost the hood louvers and trunk spears, giving the Corvette a cleaner, simplified look.
This 1959 C1 was assembled April 13, 1959 in Flint, Michigan and remained a well-preserved, unrestored example for about four decades before receiving a body-off restoration in the late 1990s. Following that work, it was acquired by a collector who kept it long-term for about the next 25 years.
Under the purview of County Corvette, a specialty facility in West Chester, Pennsylvania, the car was fastidiously inspected and properly sorted in late 2025. The scope of work included a rebuild of the fuel injection unit, a new fuel tank, a new fuel pump, a refreshed braking system, new wheel cylinders, a distributor service, wiring harness replacement, and new radial tires, among many other items.
This fuel-injected C1 has been serviced and vetted by one of the world’s foremost Corvette specialty facilities. In the collector community, fuel-injected early Corvettes are desirable machines with investment potential, and this example in stunning Tuxedo Black checks all the right boxes.
