Overview

SBX Cars is proud to offer this 1975 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray showing 44 miles on the odometer at the time of cataloging. Finished in Schwab Blue over a saddle leather and Tartan plaid interior, this C3 is a documented, ground-up restomod commissioned as the grand-prize vehicle for a 2024 Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) event.

This project represents a comprehensive, start-to-finish build executed by County Corvette of West Chester, Pennsylvania, one of the country’s most established Corvette restoration facilities. The car was fully disassembled and reengineered, receiving a refurbished fiberglass body, custom front and rear bumper treatments, an LT1-style hood, and a complete color transformation from its original Flame Orange (code 70) to a bespoke Schwab Blue derived from Aston Martin Glacier Blue Metallic. The scope of work extended well beyond cosmetic refurbishment; the build integrates modern mechanical systems, contemporary electronics, and a purpose-built chassis.

Underneath, the original architecture was replaced with a Street Shop chassis fitted with QA1 adjustable coilovers, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, and a Dana 44 differential. Power comes from a fuel-injected 6.2-liter LS3 V8 rated at 450 horsepower, paired with a 6L90 six-speed automatic transmission and a stainless-steel dual exhaust system with Borla mufflers. The integration of a modern drivetrain required custom fabrication, tuning, wiring, and cooling solutions consistent with a full engineering conversion rather than a refurbishment.

Inside, the cabin was completely retrimmed in saddle leather with custom Tartan plaid inserts developed in collaboration with Elite Interiors. The interior also incorporates Dakota Digital instrumentation, Vintage Air climate control, an Alpine double-DIN touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and back-up camera functionality, and numerous bespoke trim details including an engraved “champion” nameplate. The result is a fully modernized cockpit built to contemporary standards of comfort and usability.

With 44 miles shown since completion, this Corvette reflects the substantial time, coordination, and capital required to execute a 1-of-1, professionally built restomod at this level. It was not restored to stock specification, but comprehensively reengineered with new systems throughout, resulting in a vehicle that is effectively new in mechanical operation and presentation.
