Killer black ’69 Corvette C3 with a rebuilt numbers-matching V8 and four-speed manual—iconic Mako Shark vibes, fresh resto, ultra-clean, and an insane collector opportunity you don’t wanna miss.
Overview
SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette coupe showing 90,350 miles on the odometer at the time of this cataloging. Finished in black over a saddle interior, this C3 is offered by Wild About Cars Garage in Washington with an owner’s manual and a clear title.
The third-generation Corvette, showcasing its distinctive aerodynamic “Mako Shark” design, had a lengthy production run and went on to become one of the most recognizable and iconic muscle cars in all of automotive history. One of the magazine ads for the Corvette from the period said, “You don’t have to beware of substitutes. There aren’t any.” Each year, engineering enhancements kept the C3 Corvette at the cutting edge of innovation when it came to performance and technology.
This stunning four-speed from 1969 remained with its original owner from new until 2022. A refurbishment that began in 1999 encompassed both cosmetic and mechanical aspects; the work was done under the direction of Carriage Works in Roslyn, New York and took about four years. The car’s numbers-matching 350ci V8 was rebuilt and received an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Edelbrock aluminum heads, and a Holley 650-cfm carburetor for optimal running and driving performance.
When it comes to exhilarating two-seat sports car motoring, the C3 is a cultural icon that is difficult – if not impossible – to rival. And finding one that has a sorted, numbers-matching, low-mileage powertrain is a unique opportunity for any Corvette enthusiast or collector.
