This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is a timeless Sting Ray — finished in red over black, powered by a 327ci V8 with a 4-speed manual, and recently overhauled with $39,000 in upgrades that add modern usability without sacrificing classic charm.

      Overview

SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this numbers-matching 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray convertible, showing just 56,802 mi (91,414 km) on the odometer at the time of cataloging. Finished in red over a black leather interior, this spectacular Sting Ray has been under the care of the same owner since 1981.

Presented with a black convertible top, this vintage C2 showcases the best of classic American sports car design. The interior retains its original teak steering wheel, analog instrumentation, and Delco radio. Working air-conditioning and performance upgrades that include power steering and 4-wheel disc brakes add modern usability to this stunning example. Indeed, the combination earned this Sting Ray an appearance in a 2013 video featuring Lil' Kim and Phil Collins.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated 327 cubic-inch V8 mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. A comprehensive overhaul was performed in 2018, totaling nearly $39,000 in work. This included a new frame, rebuilt engine and suspension, and installation of modern conveniences that preserve the car’s charm while improving drivability.
