This custom hot road is based on a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air custom and it is much, much more powerful than you think.

It has a V8 under the hood, which is probably the headline news everyone was expecting.

But there’s a lot more to it than that.

This beauty is currently available on SBX Cars, with only a few days left.

This V8 is on steroids

When you pop the green hood of this 1957 icon, you’ll find a familiar V8.

It’s GM’s 427 cubic inch LS3 V8, the same engine you’d find in different Corvettes and Camaros.

But this one has two turbocharghers, custom made turbo piping and intake, and a color-coordinated engine bay.

That won’t give it any extra horsepower but it’s a nice touch.

Also, when we translate all of the above into English, the result is 1,200 horsepower on normal pump gas, and around 1,600 horsepower on race gas.

The car is basically new.

It has only done 64 miles since it’s been built, but with all that power available, maybe the new owner will want to change that.

It’s modern, but also 100 percent a 1957 Chevy Bel Air

Even though this is a modern car, it’s still a Bel Air, still perfect for a bona fide Chevy collector.

Practically everything underneath is new, but the body has 1950s written all over it.

And the same goes for the interior, which is mostly period-correct.

The only thing that isn’t at all period-correct is the infotainment screen, which also doubles as a digital dashboard, right behind the steering wheel.

Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is available at auction on SBX Cars until February 10th, 2026.

It’s already attracted bids and crucially – we can probably blame eBay for making this metric so important – plenty of people are watching the listing.

There is a reserve price, but maybe that won’t matter anyway, it’s looking good with (nearly) two weeks to go, so stay tuned and keep an eye on it.
