Ferrari’s First EV Set to Launch in 2025

After an impressive 2024, Ferrari is gearing up for a milestone year with the launch of its first-ever electric vehicle. The brand confirmed that the EV will be part of a lineup of six new models debuting in 2025, marking a significant step in Ferrari’s evolution.

Adding to the excitement, the new EV has now been spotted testing on public roads. However, reactions have been mixed, with some fans comparing its design to another well-known supercar.

A Bold Step Into the Electric Future

The announcement of Ferrari’s first EV sent pulses racing, following a successful year for the brand in 2024.
Slated for an October 2025 release, the EV represents Ferrari’s entry into the electric era—a move that many expected, though not all enthusiasts are thrilled.

While some fans welcome the change, others are skeptical about whether an electric Ferrari can truly live up to the brand’s legendary reputation.

Ferrari’s CEO, Benedetto Vigna, addressed these concerns in an interview with CNBC, reassuring fans that the EV will deliver the same thrill and excitement as its predecessors.

“People buy a Ferrari because it’s fun,” he stated, emphasizing that the brand’s first electric model will be built “the right way” to uphold Ferrari’s legacy.

Spotted on the Road—But Not Everyone’s Convinced

A heavily camouflaged prototype has now been seen out in public, offering a first glimpse at the upcoming model.

A video shared by Varryx on Instagram provides a close-up look, but it has also ignited debate over the car’s design.

Some observers argue that the test vehicle bears a striking resemblance to a Maserati. One viewer compared it to the Maserati Levante, while another was convinced it wasn’t a Ferrari at all.

“This is a Maserati. You can tell,” one commenter claimed.

Adding to the controversy, Ferrari appears to be artificially recreating its signature engine sound using a built-in sound system—a move that hasn’t gone down well with purists.

A Lukewarm Reception—For Now

The reaction from Ferrari fans has been anything but enthusiastic. One commenter pleaded, “Please, God, if you’re listening, don’t release this,” while another bluntly stated, “No Ferrari person wants that. At all.”

As more details emerge, both fans and critics will be watching—and listening—closely.
With its launch just months away, Ferrari’s first EV has a lot to prove. Will it silence the skeptics, or will it struggle to win over purists?

We’ll be keeping a close eye (and ear) on this one.
