Finished in Inka Orange over a black leather interior, this “E9” 3.0 CS is offered in Michigan by Garage Kept Motors with a tool kit, a certificate from BMW Classic, records, an owner’s manual, and a clear title.
BMW’s E9, produced from 1968 through 1975, was a classic grand-touring coupe. Even fifty-plus years ago, it elevated standards for luxury and design in the realm of high-end motoring. Its long-hood, short-deck silhouette was conceived by Wilhelm Hofmeister, and the look still captivates enthusiasts today. Car and Driver summed it up well by saying, “An inline-six and a manual transmission provide driving bliss, or you could just pull up a chair and stare at it.” Well-preserved E9 examples are increasingly sought-after in the collector marketplace.
