SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 2015 Audi R8 4.2 Quattro Spyder showing just 17,238 miles on the odometer at the time of this cataloging. Finished in Suzuka Gray Metallic over a black Nappa leather interior, this unmodified Type 42 R8 is now offered by the selling dealer with owner’s booklets, service records, a clean CARFAX report, and a clean title.
Since its inception, the R8 has been known as a legendary halo supercar for the Audi brand. It’s an instantly-recognizable modern muscle car with its signature “side blades,” an athletic stance, and exotic design language that first originated with the Audi LeMans Quattro concept car.
With 430 horsepower on tap, the R8 excels at high-speed sprints, and its quick-shifting gearbox, combined with a standard Quattro all-wheel drive system work together seamlessly to ensure that the car stays confident even in the most challenging of performance-driving situations.
Perhaps the most compelling attribute of the R8 is its dual-personality skillset: The R8 is manageable for daily driving, yet it provides exhilarating acceleration and a race-car soundtrack when called upon. When Motor Trend reviewed a Type 42 R8 during a long-term test, one editor said, “I’ve never encountered a car that can be so docile in daily driving, so calm during long cruises, and so raw at full throttle.”
This low-mileage R8 Spyder has lots of collector appeal. It comes from the final – and most refined – model year of the first-generation cars. The seller notes that it has been enthusiast-owned, garage-kept, and driven on fair-weather occasions only. It comes with six years of service records and boasts unmodified condition both inside and out.
For top-down, all-out supercar fun, the R8 4.2 Spyder represents a pinnacle of naturally-aspirated supercars.
The CARFAX states that an oil change was performed in 2023. A Nevada emissions inspection was performed in September 2025.
The CARFAX report classifies this R8 as an accident-free, damage-free vehicle. It was first registered in Libertyville, Illinois as a personal lease vehicle, and later relocated to Texas, followed by Nevada in 2018.
Seller reports that the soft-top is in like new condition and in perfect working order.
Seller reports that tires have approximately 2,000 miles on them since being installed 4 years ago.
Seller reports that the car has been garaged indoors continuously throughout their ownership.
This final-year Type 42 R8 holds enduring status as an end-of-an-era collectible. Despite its strong performance credentials, it’s a supercar that also confidently morphs into a grand-tourer when called upon. Considering the car’s low mileage, enthusiast-owned provenance, unmodified condition, and strong service history, it’s a top-down performer ready for the Autobahn or a spirited canyon run.
