Overview
SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this one-off, street-legal 2001 Ferrari 360 GT. Originally delivered as a 360 Challenge race car, it has since been converted to a 1-of-16 N-GT spec by Michelotto, and ultimately a street-legal 360 GT configuration by Ferrari.
The 360 N-GT, a race-bred variant of Ferrari’s well-known 360 Modena supercar, was developed for FIA GT and Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) endurance competition in partnership with Michelotto Automobili, Ferrari’s racing division. The N-GT proved its competence by exerting championship dominance in the 2001 FIA GT Championship’s 11 races that year. None of the N-GT cars were street legal, but that changed for one car in particular, and its story is something remarkable.
This car, dubbed “Viola,” started out life as a white 360 Challenge. It was the only white Challenge converted to an N-GT by Michelotto. Unique for being the only 1 of 16 original 360 N-GTs to have never been raced, it then went into a private collection in Hong Kong. Ultimately, it was imported to the EU by a Swiss Ferrari VIP client that commissioned the Italian automaker to make the car street legal and paint it black.
The current owner decided to rip off the black and paint it in its current stunning shade of Viola Hong Kong to honor its history. Additional work included a Cambio Manuale six-speed manual transmission conversion and an overhauled color-keyed black Alcantara interior. The resulting creation was a hypercar like nothing else on the planet. It delivers the handling and responsiveness of a true track machine.
It comes with the provenance of being truly one-of-a-kind, and its special story is corroborated by a wealth of supporting documentation. It is offered by the seller in Germany with the uninstalled original seats, the original F1-style transmission, a toolkit, tow hooks, invoices, and restoration documentation.
