SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S Coupe showing 20,435 miles at the time of this cataloging. Finished in Brilliant Blue Metallic over a black leather and microsuede interior, it is offered in Jersey City, New Jersey with service records, a clean CARFAX report, a digital window sticker, and a clear title.
Since 1967, the AMG name has become synonymous with high-performance Mercedes-Benz models, and the AMG GT was developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG leading up to the car’s 2015 launch. From the beginning, the AMG GT was a showcase of distinction – there was no mistaking its long-hood, fastback silhouette, and prominent air intakes. The pronounced wheel arches were necessary to house its massive 295-width rear tires and also served to give the car an aggressive, wide stance.
The powertrain was where the AMG GT solidified its mark in motorsports: Its handcrafted 4.0-liter V8 gave the car a power-to-weight ratio that matched its athletic stance. Car and Driver said in 2018, “The AMG GT is visually arresting, blindingly fast, and extraordinarily rewarding to drive.”
The AMG GT “S” was an even more performance-focused variant. Most notably, the “S” package raised horsepower from 469 horsepower to 515 horsepower. In addition, it added the AMG performance exhaust system for a visceral – and variable – exhaust note. For those who were truly feeling bold, the GT S offered “Race” as one of the selectable modes in the Dynamic Select drivetrain. Designed for track use, Race Mode unlocked sharper throttle response, faster gear changes, and optimized handling.
This Brilliant Blue coupe takes the AMG GT S platform to new heights, courtesy of $35,190 in options. It was ordered when new with Dynamic Plus, carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fiber trim, an Exclusive interior, Lane Tracking, a panoramic roof, and more. It was serviced in fall 2024 by Mercedes-Benz of Boston and is now ready to deliver a gratifying travel experience to its esteemed next owner.
Maintenance Service A was performed in September 2024 by Mercedes-Benz of Boston. Included in that appointment were replacements of the wiper blades and both engine air filters.
Historic maintenance per the CARFAX report included a four-wheel alignment, a transfer case motor replacement, a computer reprogram, tire replacement, spark plug replacement, and inspections within the last three years.
A digital window sticker outlines the vehicle’s $35,000-plus in options.
The CARFAX report shows accident-free and damage-free history with 32 detailed records spanning Virginia, California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, and Texas.
In addition to the photo gallery, there is video footage illustrating the exterior, interior, a start-up, an engine bay overview, and a walk-around.
Per the third-party inspection report (available below) and photos in the gallery, there are various exterior blemishes, including stone chips and scratches. The smoked vinyl over the passenger rear lamp has torn and one of the wheels has a small bit of curb rash.
This 2018 AMG GT S is an exclusive machine, not only in production figures, but in specific optioning. By the time it was assembled in 2018, AMG was already building on over a half-century of experience in crafting cars that performed equally well on the street or track.
Few AMG GT examples, if any, will be found with an options list as lengthy as this one – from the carbon-ceramic brakes to the Exclusive interior, to the carbon fiber trim throughout. It comes with recent service history for added peace of mind, and its Brilliant Blue exterior is truly fitting of the name.
