OVERVIEW

Offered for sale on SBX Cars is the highest version of the Tesla Cybertruck - a 2024 Cyberbeast, presented in the infamous stainless steel exoskeleton over a black interior with white piping, and showing just 301 miles at the time of cataloging.

MODEL HISTORY

They are here... and the demand is not going away any time soon.

You may already know what that full name means, because these trucks have managed to dominate the public's attention beyond all expectation. For the uninitiated, let us quickly explain - Tesla has managed to produce its long promised stainless steel polygon on wheels, and here, in its most potent variation, earning the ‘Beast’ designation.

Now that they've actually made it to the streets, the effect is dramatic. On a recent Sunday in Los Angeles, when multiple examples of the Cybertruck parked in front of the Petersen Automotive Museum for the normally fun but visually sedate electric car show, not even the most jaded veteran of the Southern California car culture scene could quite believe their eyes. Even the most incredible automotive design can have a hard time creating a stir in that environment, but traffic slowed to a crawl as passer by gawked at the razor edged convoy gathered on Fairfax Avenue. And what they are seeing is the best of what Tesla can do, sitting at the forefront of the electric car evolution.

The heart of this example is the ‘Beast’ designation. That means this truck has 845 horsepower, with three electric motors providing power. When Car and Driver tested acceleration, they found it went from 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds - easily the fastest truck they ever tested, and also beyond the ability of anything below the super car class.

THIS CYBERBEAST

This 2024 Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast is a Foundation Series example. A Tri-Motor AWD model, it features stainless-steel bodywork with laser-etched badging, with heated and ventilated front seats trimmed in black premium upholstery with white piping, complemented by a white interior trim.

Other notable features of this vehicle include variable-ratio four-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension, eight anchor points for accessories, 20-inch Cyber wheels, an off-road light bar, automatic LED lighting, front and rear touchscreens, eight exterior cameras, and a full-length roof panel that is constructed with impact-resistant acoustic glass.

This Cyberbeast is offered with a charging adapter, a charging cable, a window sticker, the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. The light bar and factory wheel covers are expected to be delivered in the future. The carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.

MECHANICAL

The current owner purchased the Cyberbeast in 2024, and has added approximately 285 of the 301 miles.

According to the seller, the Cyberbeast was delivered with a three-inch scratch to the underbody battery skid plate. The door checkstrap joint bolts and bed light were replaced and accelerator pedal pad secured, under warranty; service records are available upon request. Aftermarket wheel covers (four) are included with the sale.

Being amongst the earliest released Cyberbeasts, evident from the early VIN number sequence, this particular example bears a ‘Birth Mark’ - a manufacturing defect on the front truck lid - visible in the photos in the gallery. This defect is a feature of only the earliest models, and not the later/current models.

SUMMARY

As polarizing as these trucks can be, it's impossible to deny the effect it has on passersby. But it's also important to remember that Teslas, for all the opinions about them, are still made by the world leader in electric mobility - a sound platform with excellent technology, laid within the most startling exterior seen from a manufacturer in years.

Even as more Cybertrucks are made, one thing has become clear – the Beast isn't going away, and it couldn't hide from view if it tried.
