This isn’t just a Corvette - it’s a wild, 1975 Stingray restomod. An LS3-powered, tartan-trimmed, PGA prize car blending retro cool with modern muscle and serious wow-factor.
Overview
SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 1975 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray showing 44 miles on the odometer at the time of this cataloging. Finished in Schwab Blue over a saddle leather and Tartan plaid cloth interior, this bespoke C3 restomod is now offered with restoration documentation and a clear title.
As part of one of the most unique partnerships in automotive restoration history, the Charles Schwab financial services company joined forces with one of the nation’s foremost experts in Chevrolet Corvette restorations to engineer a Stingray that went on to serve as the grand-prize award in a 2024 Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) event. The result was a classic Corvette unlike any other.
Building on guidance from Schwab surrounding some of the details, County Corvette in West Chester, Pennsylvania set out to build the ultimate dream-machine from 1975. “Top to bottom, this is a brand-new car,” said Jed Stewart from County Corvette. “We added a bumper from a later-model Corvette in the front, a rear bumper from a 1980s Corvette with an integrated spoiler, and a customized LT1 hood,” he said.
But things didn’t stop there, as the car received a performance-oriented, fuel-injected LS3 powertrain to match its muscular looks. County Corvette also worked with Elite Interiors in developing Tartan plaid upholstery for the seats, center console, and shifter boot – a unique detail that ties in with the material used to create the Schwab Challenge winner’s jacket.
Modern tech and classic style have come together like never before. This is a special C3 Corvette that was purpose-built for a grand-prize winner, and you’ll feel like one every time you get behind the wheel.
