This Z-ROD™ Strada Glide UFO 1 Prototype is literally out of this world — hand-built aluminum body, leaning reverse-trike tech, and pure sci-fi on wheels.
Overview
SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 2015 Z-ROD™ Strada Glide UFO 1 Prototype showing just 2,961 kilometers (1,839 miles) on the odometer at the time of this cataloging. A specially-designed lightweight frame, grafted to the original chassis supports an aluminum exterior surrounding a 2015 Piaggio MP3 reverse-trike. This bespoke three-wheeler is offered on Spanish license plates with a registration certificate in the seller’s name.
Developed from the creative imagination of ex-Formula One™ Promoter and experienced racer Marshall Pugh, the Z-ROD™ Strada Glide UFO 1 Prototype was brought to life through a detail-oriented custom build. It is perhaps one of the most unique and artful interpretations of compact modern-day transportation on the face of the planet (or beyond). Marshall started with a lightweight, agile, Italian-built Piaggio MP3 Yourban 300 LT, a three-wheeled reverse-trike known for its nimble handling and road-legal configuration. A completely custom exterior was meticulously cut and shaped by skilled fabricator Maestro Jordi using hand-milled, aircraft-inspired aluminum panels. Details include bespoke livery, a faux leather cockpit-top surround, custom exhaust routing, lighting, and more.
Unlike a conventional rigid trike, the Z-ROD™ leans spectacularly. Its multi-tilt, dual front-wheel parallelogram suspension allows it to corner like a motorcycle but with added sure-footedness. As the Z-ROD™ comes to a stop, with a flick of a switch, its electro hydraulic system locks the front suspension for foot-free balance. As an added convenience, the Z-ROD™ can be parked in any motorcycle zone.
This custom UFO 1 is indeed out of this world. It’s a street-drivable “Objet d’ Art on Wheels.” Unique, fun, and without a doubt one of the biggest conversation-starters you’ll ever zoom around on.
