The third-generation Corvette, showcasing its distinctive aerodynamic “Mako Shark” design, had a lengthy production run and went on to become one of the most recognizable and iconic muscle cars in all of automotive history. One of the magazine ads for the Corvette from the period said, “You don’t have to beware of substitutes. There aren’t any.” Each year, engineering enhancements kept the C3 Corvette at the cutting edge of innovation when it came to performance and technology. 

This stunning four-speed from 1969 remained with its original owner from new until 2022. A refurbishment that began in 1999 encompassed both cosmetic and mechanical aspects; the work was done under the direction of Carriage Works in Roslyn, New York and took about four years. The car’s numbers-matching 350ci V8 was rebuilt and received an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Edelbrock aluminum heads, and a Holley 650-cfm carburetor for optimal running and driving performance.

According to documentation under a prior listing for the vehicle, its numbers-matching 350ci engine was rebuilt in 1999 by Carriage Motor Works. At the time, the car received a new fuel sending unit, fuel tank, fuel hoses, and clutch. At the current time, there are no outstanding mechanical needs to address.

The selling dealer has provided a walk-around video as well as a photo gallery illustrating the exterior, interior, underbody, and engine compartment.
