This 1968 Shelby GT350 is pure American legend — Wimbledon White, Carroll Shelby’s final touch, and 306 hp of muscle car history.
Overview
SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 fastback showing 43,210 kilometers on the odometer at the time of this cataloging. Finished in Wimbledon White over a black vinyl and houndstooth interior, this GT350 fastback is offered with Marti documentation by F1rst Motors in Dubai.
For decades, Shelby American has prided itself in building some of the most capable Ford performance cars on the planet. The partnership dates back to the early 1960s, and within a few years, the two companies were joining forces on crafting a high-performance version of the Mustang pony car. The GT350 was born, and the muscle car world was never the same. In addition to its higher-output engine, it had distinctive styling cues that set it apart visually from anything else on the road or at the track.
Starting with its distinctive, oversized front grille and dual-scooped hood, it was clear that the GT350 was purpose-built with a focus on powertrain performance. Notably, 1968 would be the last year that Carroll Shelby was directly involved with the car before Ford took over total operational control. This Wimbledon White fastback comes with authentication from Marti Auto Works that corroborates its identity as a true GT350, originally optioned with features including Extra Cooling, a Sport Deck rear seat, power steering, a tilt-away steering wheel, interior decor, and the Visibility Group.
Today, true Shelby Mustangs have a devout following among muscle car aficionados. According to the Shelby American Automobile Club (SAAC), there were only 1,053 GT350 fastbacks produced in 1968. Surviving, well-kept examples on the road today are becoming increasingly desirable and challenging to find. F1rst Motors, having sold over 1,000 specialty vehicles in three years serving Dubai, is now thrilled to find this well-kept and documented GT350 a new home.
