SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 4WD showing just 656 kilometers (407 miles) since a complete restoration. Finished in White over a brown vinyl interior, this classic FJ is offered with build documentation, an import manifest, an owner’s manual, a service manual, and a clear Florida title.
Vintage Land Cruisers have long been praised for their timeless design and legendary reliability – they are, after all, rugged tributes to functionality over flashiness. Palm Beach Cruisers, based in Florida, specializes in the restoration and importation of FJ-Series vehicles, saying “We only offer frame-off restorations – nothing less. We do our best to get each vehicle to new – from factory – condition.”
Under Palm Beach Cruisers’ direction, this FJ43 went through a 1,600-hour restoration. Its body and chassis were stripped to bare metal and fully inspected prior to a complete re-seal and re-paint. The interior was overhauled, even including the knobs and gauges, using Toyota OEM replacement parts wherever available. The underbody was given a protective coating. And perhaps most importantly, the vehicle’s robust original 2F engine was completely remanufactured to the original specifications using OEM parts; all of the ancillary components such as gaskets, seals, and bearings were replaced.
As a result: This Land Cruiser is about as new as any 43-year-old vehicle can possibly be, and it has been enhanced with a lifted suspension, a power steering system, and a versatile soft-top for open-air cruising capability. A restored FJ43 is one of the most versatile collector vehicles on the planet – capable of adventure and recreation, while at the same time representing a status symbol of taste and iconic design.
