SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 1992 Monarch Defender 90 showing just 1,384 miles (2,227 km) on the odometer at the time of cataloging. Finished in green over an orange and cream diamond-stitched cabin, this bespoke Defender 90 restomod is the ultimate blend of old-school ruggedness and fully modernized capability.
Iowa-based Monarch is a renowned Defender restoration outfit that brings master artisans, modern mechanicals, and stunning designs to bear on the original Land Rover Defender. Each one is a unique blend of classic design and contemporary functionality.
Today’s 1992 example was completed in 2023 at a cost of more than $185,000. A full frame-off restoration, it boasts an all-new galvanized chassis, a rebuilt Land Rover V8, new suspension and brakes, and heavy-duty axles. Dubbed “Cumbria”, in honor of the English region, it is the definition of a timeless automotive masterpiece.
