SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R showing just 62,470 km (38,817 mi) on the odometer at the time of cataloging. Finished in Bayside Blue over a gray cloth cabin, this coveted Japanese sports car cemented the Godzilla moniker and is considered one of the all-time greats.
Nissan’s Skyline GT-R has a long and storied history, with no shortage of desirable models, but when the R34 series launched in 1999, it was packing the RB26DETT inline-6 and a cutting-edge powertrain. There was the DOHC 24-valve twin-turbo mill, ATTESA AWD, Super HICAS rear-wheel steering, and Brembo brakes.
A future star of the silver screen, the R34 Skyline GT-R stole the performance out of the gate with its sub-8-minute Nürburgring (unofficial) time, making it faster than a Ferrari 360 Modena. Today’s stunning example brings all that history wrapped up in the iconic shade of Bayside Blue.
The most recent service of this 1999 GT-R was completed at 53,000 km and the next service is due at 63,000 km. Vehicle ownership and history is unknown.
The lines on Nissan’s R34 Skyline GT-R are instantly recognizable and arguably some of the best to grace any GT-R generation. It is a car that screams performance, and with today’s example, that vibe is dialed up with the Bayside Blue finish, deep-dish RAYS wheels, and just-right rear spoiler.
Showing very low mileage and featuring a handful of tasteful modifications, this 1999 Skyline GT-R looks to be a well-cared-for time capsule of Japanese automotive perfection. It would make for an ideal JDM modern classic addition to any discerning enthusiast’s collection, while turning heads everywhere it goes.
