      Overview

SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible showing under 56,000 miles at the time of this cataloging. Finished in Champagne over a Beige Metallic leather interior, it is offered on dealer consignment in Tacoma, Washington with a clear title.

One look at the sleek side profile is all it takes to appreciate the masterful artwork of designer Harley Earl: The 1960 Eldorado was elegance on wheels. The unmistakable Biarritz was the pinnacle of American automotive luxury when it launched, and it carried a retail price of $7,401 when new. To put that into perspective, it was three times the cost of a Chevrolet Biscayne, but the Eldorado was easily three times the car. It provided generous creature comforts for the time including air conditioning, power-adjustable seating, power brakes, and even an innovative “Autronic Eye” high-beam assist.

This Champagne Eldorado Biarritz drop-top went through inside-and-out restoration in 2018 and is presented in its original specifications throughout. The attention to detail is evident in the quality of its finishes, all the way from the glistening front grille to the dramatic rear tailfins. The car received service to the brakes, alternator, and lighting systems within the last 18 months and is mechanically sorted.

The extravagant Biarritz convertible was limited to just 1,285 units produced when new, and one of the remaining rare and desirable American icons of motoring can now be yours.
