SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda showing just 298 km (185 mi) on the odometer at the time of cataloging. Finished in two-tone Snakeskin Green and black over a black leather and vinyl cabin, this incredible ‘Cuda is the definition of a no-expense-spared restomod.
The Plymouth ‘Cuda is in the pantheon of all-time Detroit muscle car greats and today’s spectacular example sits at the pinnacle of what modern restomodding can accomplish. Starting with an authentic 1970 ‘Cuda built at Chrysler’s Hamtramck plant, the owner embarked on an epic journey of upgrading virtually every aspect of this reimagined beast.
The chassis has been boxed, reinforced, and RAPTOR coated. The wheels are custom billet units. Wilwood supplied the brakes. An outrageous shade of Dodge Viper Snakeskin Green, with just a touch of extra gold, is separated from the gloss black roof by a hand-laid red stripe. AAR styling elements have been added. The cabin is loaded with touches like Speedhut Hemi Cuda-branded gauges and Vintage Air climate control.
All the details can be enjoyed below, but perhaps most importantly, up front, the original 340 4-barrel mill has been replaced by a monstrous 572 cubic inch V8 fitted to a custom engine bay. Per the seller, it is the one and only 'Cuda with this engine and while it was built to show at SEMA, it did not make it due to Covid. Output figures are unknown, but 9.3 liters of displacement will translate to incredible performance…for those willing to unleash it.
A comprehensive appraisal, dated June 14, 2024 at 246 km, walks through the condition of this 1970 ‘Cuda in detail.
Plymouth’s legendary ‘Cuda has been a coveted muscle car since it debuted more than 50 years ago. Today, the sight and sound of one remains an exciting experience. But few ‘Cudas can claim the kind of presence and performance that this particular 1970 example delivers.
That shimmering Snakeskin Green finish is sure to stop onlookers in their tracks, while the sound of 572 cubic inches of HEMI V8 fury is guaranteed to drop jaws. Meticulously restored with incredible attention to detail, this reborn muscle car legend promises to be a highlight of any diehard Mopar fan’s collection.
