Only 2,000 miles on this 1992 Acura NSX — the poster car of the ‘90s, built with Ayrton Senna’s input, and looking like it just rolled out of the showroom. Pure time-capsule supercar magic!

    Overview

SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 1992 Acura NSX showing just 2,020 miles at the time of this cataloging. Finished in Grand Prix White over a black leather interior, this NA1 NSX is offered by its original owner in Pennsylvania with memorabilia, manuals, a window sticker, service records, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title.

Everything about the first-generation Acura NSX was calculated with exacting precision. The prototype was in development for six years before hitting production. When the original NSX Concept (named for being a “New Sports Experimental”) was shown at the Chicago Auto Show in February 1989, the world got a glimpse of a machine that would garner a devout enthusiast following for decades to come.

Blending captivating looks, agile performance, and renowned reliability, the NSX was something special. Honda’s standards were so high for the car that each of the Tochigi plant’s 200 associates were hand-selected (each with a minimum 10 years’ experience), and only 32 cars were assembled each day. They were building more than a car; they were building a motoring icon that would raise the bar for expectations of supercar enthusiasts when it came to a long-term ownership experience.

This stunning unit, the 809th in sequence produced for its year, was finished in Grand Prix White as a nod to Honda’s rich history in Formula 1 motorsports. It was sparingly driven early in life, and it went on to spend subsequent years in secure safekeeping after accruing only about 2,000 miles on the odometer.

Years later, in a recommissioning that took the internet by storm, the car emerged from its slumber and was put back into roadworthiness at the skilled hands of Leading Edge Autosport who performed a major mechanical freshening. In addition, Larry Kosilla, of detailing fame – known under his YouTube channel “AMMO NYC” – treated the car to the ultimate in pampering. The car retains its 1992-era Yokohama tires and the original Pennsylvania inspection stickers in the windshield.

You might say this NSX is fresh out of the wrapper. And whether you choose to drive it or display it, you can rest assured its unique story is one that will be legendary for years to come.
