Not just any Defender. Monarch Defender took this beast and turned it into a luxury tank on wheels. We’re talking a handcrafted interior, modern tech, and military-grade presence. It’s rugged royalty—off-road dominance with first-class swagger.
Overview
SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this custom 1996 Land Rover Defender 110 five-door 4WD sport-utility vehicle that was a recipient of a recent complete restoration and shows 3,753 miles. Finished in British Racing Green over a saddle Nappa leather interior, it is offered with a clear title.
Monarch Defender, of Ames, Iowa, prides itself in crafting bespoke versions of the legendary Land Rover Defender. Its website reads, “We uphold the legacy of these vehicles through meticulous craftsmanship and personalized enhancements.” Monarch blends the analog, vintage look of the renowned 1990s sport-utility vehicle – a favorite for off-roaders and enthusiasts – with a modernized suspension, cutting-edge infotainment, and generous creature comforts. The result is a vehicle unlike any other.
Dubbed the “Ready Beast,” this bespoke Defender is badged as unit number TX130 and is ready to tackle any terrain in its path. Its boxy, utilitarian aesthetic goes hand in hand with its heavy-duty engineering: A steel ladder frame provides foundational strength, and the 33-inch tires, Fox suspension, and upgraded axles ensure confidence when the going gets rough. Power is plentiful thanks to an LS3 6.2-liter V8 powerplant – the same 430-horsepower heart that propels the C6 Chevrolet Corvette.
The interior, by contrast, is full of modern amenities. The build incorporates heated and cooled seating, LED ambient lighting, Dynamat sound-deadening insulation, an Alpine touchscreen infotainment system, and a multi-zone Vintage Air climate control system. With this rig, getting in touch with remote regions of the outdoors doesn’t necessarily mean having to sacrifice comfort. Serious off-road adventures await.
