This is George Foreman’s knockout Mustang — a 1995 Saleen S351 Supercharged Convertible with over 500 horses punching through the rear wheels! It’s loud, raw, and absolutely unfiltered… just like Big George in the ring!

    Overview

SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 1995 Ford Mustang Saleen S351 convertible with 728 miles at the time of this cataloging. Finished in Canary Yellow over a black Recaro leather interior, this supercharged, limited-production pony car is offered with owner’s manuals, Saleen documents, ownership provenance support, Ford and Saleen window stickers, a CARFAX report, and a clear title.

The SN95-generation Mustang was an instant home run when it launched in 1994. Motor Trend named it Car of the Year, and enthusiasts praised its muscular styling, which combined modern shapes with retro influences. Chassis 1FALP45T9SF114197 started life as a GT convertible that was delivered to David Wilson’s Ford of Orange, California. It didn’t retain its original configuration very long, though:

Saleen Automotive – known for enhancing Mustangs since 1984 – built a reputation for itself on racing success; Saleen’s teams won championships at the SCCA Escort Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Mosport. By the 1990s, Saleen was building street-legal, limited-production, performance-tuned Mustangs at its Long Beach, California facility. That’s where this Canary Yellow drop-top was transformed with over $57,000 in enhancements like a 5.8-liter Vortech-supercharged R-code V8, a hydraulic roller camshaft, a TREMEC quick-ratio manual transmission, a high-flow exhaust system, a Racecraft suspension, and long list of air management and styling enhancements.

This car (unit 30 of the 42 Saleen-produced convertibles for the year) was completed in early March 1995 and was featured in Saleen’s press materials. It was later handed off to the legendary George Foreman as its first owner. Foreman, best known for being a two-time boxing heavyweight champion and an Olympic gold medalist, reportedly kept the car for decades, yet only drove it sparingly. A copy of the title in his name will accompany the car. Research from the Saleen Owners and Enthusiasts Club (SOEC) states that there were eight Canary Yellow S351s in 1995, just four of which were convertibles.

It is fitting that Saleen’s slogan is, “Power in the hands of a few.” This is a car that simply has no equal.
