You’re not just buying a car—you’re buying a one-off Porsche nobody else at the show will have. It’s bespoke, brutal, and built to make jaws drop.

    Overview

SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this custom 1974 Porsche 911 which has been driven just 250 miles since a full cosmetic and mechanical overhaul that was completed in 2015. Finished in Polar Silver Metallic over a black cloth interior, it is offered by RK Motors in Charlotte, North Carolina with a clear title.

This 911 coupe received a modernized identity under the direction of Panelwerks in Mentor, Ohio – a facility that has specialized in vintage sports car restoration for over 35 years. The overhaul, which cost in excess of $40,000 at the time, transformed the exterior of the car to reflect a 1990s-era look consistent with 964-chassis 911 vehicles. The result was a sports car so unique that it would undoubtedly be the only one of its kind at any Porsche show or rally.

The car’s distinctive character and classic design remained steadfast – just with cosmetic updates to transport it into the neo-classic 1990s era. Included on the build checklist were newer Cup-style wheels, Kumho Ecsta tires, a transmission rebuild and of course a complete archive of photographs showing the step-by-step process. The car has been under the care of the same enthusiast since 1985 and is now ready for a new owner to take the reins (and an open road to explore).
