It has been nearly 60 years since Ford’s GT40 Mk II became one of the most formidable race cars in motorsport history. It was known for its groundbreaking engineering – and for its unforgettable success, even against mighty well-heeled Italian supercars. Building on the original GT40’s legacy, a modern variant of the Ford GT came to market in 2017 and was sold in limited numbers through 2022. 

The Holman Moody Heritage Edition was built to commemorate Ford’s record-breaking 1966 1-2-3 finish sweep at the 24 Hours of LeMans. It was conceived by Ford’s race team as an ultra-limited-production supercar and made its first public debut at the 2022 New York International Auto Show. Paying tribute to the podium-placing GT40 Mk II race car in every regard, it comes equipped with contemporary touches like exposed carbon fiber, 20-inch wheels, Brembo brakes and active aerodynamics. 

Innovation was the key to Ford’s success in competition LeMans, and it remained the cornerstone of the build in this exclusive machine. Only 21 Holman Moody Heritage Edition cars were built, with 15 going overseas and six destined for the United States. All cars were available for order only by approved Ford GT customers, so the chance to now own one – especially in showroom condition – is a rare opportunity.

The CARFAX report classifies this as an accident-free vehicle, although no detailed history is available. A two-minute walk-around video is provided which includes an exterior overview and an interior tour. The car is shown as a museum-grade example both inside and out.
