SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 2018 Audi R8 V10 Star of Lucis Final Fantasy XV, showing just 225 km (140 mi) on the odometer at the time of cataloging. Finished in a custom shade of Ultrossic Black with Final Fantasy-inspired patterning over a white leather and black Alcantara cabin, this is an ultra-rare R8.
The Audi R8 V10 Plus is an incredible mid-engine supercar in stock form with its naturally aspirated V10 generating over 600 horsepower and capable of singing up to an 8,700-rpm redline. Based on this foundation, today’s 1-of-1 collaboration between the German automaker and Square Enix, the company behind the revered Final Fantasy video game series, is something else entirely.
Built around an elaborate storyline that includes an “in-universe” appearance of the car in the Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV CG film, this Star of Lucis R8 shows off world-class craftsmanship that brings the video game series to life. An ornate Arabesque pattern based on the game’s Tenebrae Oracle clan can be seen across the exterior, which is finished in Ultrossic Black, an exclusive color based on the Kingdom of Lucis’ most noble shade.
Additional highlights include unique wheels that blend rose petal patterns with elements of the Kingdom of Lucis’ sculpted swords. An “interior fit for the Prince” and a “performance worthy of the future King” round out the exclusive nature of this Final Fantasy-themed Audi R8.

Summary
When Audi and Square Enix completed this R8 tribute to Final Fantasy XV for the Japanese market, they offered the sole example for sale via a lottery system in November 2016. The price was set to 50,000,015 yen (tax excluded) in a nod to Final Fantasy XV (15) and applicants were required to pay a 30,000,000 yen deposit at the time of contract signing.
Following the original sale, this Audi R8 Star of Lucis was showcased at the 2019 Tokyo Auto Salon where it sold for approximately 260,000,000 yen.
