Description

OVERVIEW

SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo showing 39,741 km (24,693 mi) on the odometer at the time of cataloging. Finished in Polar Silver Metallic over a black leather cabin, this spectacular Porsche marks the end of air-cooled production and a pinnacle of 911 design.

Part of the 993 generation, this 1996 911 Turbo dropped jaws upon arrival with its 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-6 hooked up to a 6-speed manual and AWD. The 400-horse, 400 lb-ft of torque powertrain could sling the Turbo to 60 in 3.7 seconds, 100 in 9.1 seconds, and through the quarter mile in a tick over 12 seconds. Heady performance then, and now.

It would mark the end of Porsche’s fabled air-cooled engines making these 993 Turbos the envy of Porsche purists worldwide. Featuring widened bodywork, that glorious tea tray spoiler draped over the rear end, and the perfect analog driving experience, this is a 911 for serious enthusiasts.

SUMMARY

The curvaceous form of this 1996 911 Turbo makes it easy to see why it is often referred to as the prettiest 911 of all time. Today's Polar Silver Metallic example exemplifies that sentiment with a spectacular finish on the outside and a crisp all-black cabin.

For those looking to escape the overly electrified tech-heavy cars of today, this 911 Turbo is for you. Before electronically controlled steering and ultra-fast PDK transmissions, there were Porsches like this one with three pedals, staggering performance, and timeless head-turning good looks.
