SBX Cars is proud to offer for sale this 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia showing just 23,650 miles on the odometer at the time of cataloging. Finished in Argento Nurburgring over a Nero cabin, this gorgeous two-tone exotic is ready to show its next owner what makes the Prancing Horse so special.

Much has been written about the sound of a naturally aspirated Ferrari V8 shrieking from behind the driver’s seat and the 4.5L F136FB V8 in this 2012 458 Italia is one of the last to ever offer the experience. As a send-off to this glorious configuration, Ferrari pulled out all the stops. 

Featuring Ferrari mid-engine firsts like direct injection, the 458 Italia V8 can also rip all the way up to 9,000 rpm thanks in part to F1-derived tech like graphite piston skirt coatings and a trimmed compression height. The engineering behind it gave the F136FB a specific output of 125 hp/liter - a world record at the time.

Little wonder the International Engine of the Year Awards showered the 458 Italia with titles including “Best Performance Engine” and “Best Engine Above 4 Liters” - four years in a row. Of course, there’s more to the Ferrari up for auction today than its spectacular powertrain. 

The striking two-tone design for one thing. Glistening Argento Nurburgring is set off by a bold black finish on the roof, wheels, and side skirts, plus the deeply tinted windows. It’s a looker, and an example of one of Maranello’s finest that you don’t want to miss.

This 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia is powered by a 4.5L F136FB V8 rated for 562 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. A 7-speed F1 dual-clutch transaxle routes power to the rear wheels with an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. Additional features below:

This 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia was delivered new to Wide World of Cars of Spring Valley, New York in September 2011 and is currently in the hands of Black Horse Garage of Bridgeport, Connecticut.

SUMMARY

Not only is this 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia an absolute stunner with its two-tone finish accentuating the sleek Pininfarina design, it’s a marvel of modern automotive engineering. The gaping front lower intake, for example, houses aeroelastic winglets designed to deform at speed and generate downforce. 

Aerodynamic tech designed for the FXX was put into use on the 458 Italia including a “base bleed effect” that eliminates the need for a pronounced rear spoiler. Then there are the triple exhaust outlets paying homage to the legendary F40 and the fact that the 458 Italia has taken home more than 30 different international awards since it arrived in 2009. 

And don’t forget, this 2012 example is part of the last line of naturally aspirated mid-engine V8 Ferraris. Cars capable of 0-60 in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 200 mph. Get one while you still can.
