OVERVIEW

Offered for sale on SBX Cars is this 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 RS ‘Weissach’, finished in Rubystar over a black interior, showing just 1,300 miles (approximately 2,022 kilometers) at the time of cataloging.

MODEL HISTORY

Short for ‘rennsport’ – which translates as racing in German – RS may be just two letters, but they carry so much meaning.

The Porsche RS story started back in 1957, when the name was applied to the 718 RSK race car, six years before the first 911 was even launched.

Since then, the name has become synonymous with innovation and high performance – and it’s a designation that continues to thrive today.

Take the Porsche 911 (992) GT3 RS for example – the latest model in the Porsche Sportmade family.

Lighter, with more downforce and power, the introduction of the 992 GT3 RS proved once again that the German automaker strives to perfect the formula when it comes to producing the ultimate performance car.

Porsche left no stone unturned in achieving this feat, spending more than 250 hours in the wind tunnel – the result 40kg more downforce than before.

It added a host of new tech, too, including Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, heightening the driving experience but not at the expense of weight, with the GT3 RS tipping the scales at a lean 1,450kg.

Named after the legendary Porsche development center, the Weissach package – available as an option – makes every gram in the 911 GT3 RS count.

With this option, the front lid, roof, top half of the exterior mirror and parts of the rear wing sport a carbon-fiber finish, not only emphasizing its motorsport personalist, but reducing the overall weight by almost 15kg.

Also providing optimum weight savings are the chassis’ stabilizers on the front and rear axles, coupling rods on the rear side, and CFRP sheer panel.

The GT3 RS comes equipped with 518-horsepower, 4.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, coupled with the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) seven-speed automatic transmission, seeing the car sprint from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 3.2 seconds, and on to a top speed of 184 mph (296 km/h).

Its lightweight stainless steel sports exhaust system ensures a dramatic, unfiltered sound experience up to a maximum 9,000rpm.

Alongside its phenomenal performance, overall drivability of the street-legal GT3 RS was improved, too, with an electronic damping control system actively and continuously adjusting based on road conditions and driving style.

At low speeds, this system steers the rear wheels in the opposite direction to the front for increased agility, especially through bends, while at high speeds, the rear wheels are steered in the same direction as the front for optimal stability.

With this kind of all-round performance, the 911 GT3 RS proves itself to be an exceptionally versatile sportscar, as happy on the road as it is the racetrack.

THIS 2024 PORSCHE 911 GT3 RS ‘WEISSACH’

This 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 RS ‘Weissach’ is finished in Rubystar contrasted by glossy carbon fiber comprising the hood, roof, mirror caps, and rear wing main plain.

Additional desirable extras selected for this GT3 RS included exclusive design taillights, 20-/21-inch GT3 RS forged magnesium lightweight wheels finished in gold, and brake calipers painted in high-gloss black.

The close attention to detail carries over to the interior, where one has to step over illuminated door sill guards finished in matt carbon fiber when entering the cabin.

The centerpiece of the GT3 RS’s cabin are undoubtedly its full bucket seats, finished in black leather with Race-Tex black and GT silver inserts, forming part of the interior Weissach package, which also includes a carbon-fiber roll cage.

This particular example also boasts the Club Sport Package, with additional road-legal 1kg fire extinguisher.

Driver inputs are controlled through an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and a Porsche PDK gear selector.

Further, a white-faced sport chrono stopwatch matches the instrument dials, the storage compartment lid is finished in Race-Tex with the ‘Porsche’ logo, and occupants are treated with a BOSE surround sound system and the Light Design Package, which adds controllable ambient lighting.

For greater convenience, the Porsche has been fitted with a 90-liter fuel tank, front axle lift system, and assistance systems including reversing camera and Park Assist (rear).

MECHANICAL

Due to the age of the vehicle and mileage covered, no restoration or service work has been carried out, therefore, no service history file exists. A one-owner vehicle, the balance of the manufacturer's warranty remains.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE SALE
