MODEL HISTORY
The wait is finally over.
After all the buildup, the delays, the intense debate, the constant speculation about what it could or could not do, the Tesla Cybertruck is finally here – and available with us for auction at no reserve.
To finally see one on the road and up close can cause a moment of readjustment, as if the mind has to recalculate what images the eyes are sending them. For anyone paying any attention to news, cars or culture, both the design and the news around this Tesla was unavoidable, yet it still can’t prepare you for the presence it has in real life.
And if the people who knew about it are surprised, their reactions are nothing compared to those from the people that weren’t aware of its existence. The Cybertruck provokes surprise to the point of disbelief, at a level that even the most exotic supercar can’t compete with. Tesla’s commitment to making something completely different means you'll have a hard time finding someone without a strong opinion.
So it’s a given that the Cybertruck has its own style, but underneath the stainless steel exoskeleton lies the substance that has made Tesla the sales leader for electric cars in North America. Though the Cybertruck is roughly the same size as a standard large American pickup, the Cybertruck is an easy drive. Four wheel steering, electronic variable ratio steering employing steer-by-wire, and ample power have a positive effect on the driving experience.
The main question for any potential purchaser is, how willing are you to be the center of attention? Even once the initial furor dies down, the Cybertruck is so fundamentally different from anything else that it will never blend into traffic or disappear in a full parking lot. The Cybertruck has all the equipment that makes an excellent electric truck, with a form factor that will never be mistaken for anything else.
THIS CYBERTRUCK FOUNDATION SERIES
This particular example of the Cybertruck is a 2024 limited-edition Foundation Series - a model reserved for early customers.
Featuring a stainless-steel bodywork over a black interior, notable features of this vehicle include variable-ratio four-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension, Full Self-Driving Capability, an electric retractable tonneau cover, eight anchor points for accessories, 20-inch Cyber wheels, automatic LED lighting, heated and ventilated front seats, front and rear touchscreens, eight exterior cameras, and a full-length roof panel that is constructed with impact-resistant acoustic glass.
This Cybertruck is the dual-motor all-wheel drive variant, with a powertrain producing 600 horsepower, good for 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds, with an estimated all-electric range of 340 miles (547 kilometers).
This vehicle is being offered for sale with the owner’s manual, window sticker, USB drive for camera recording, center console tray, carpeted floor mats, all-weather liner, glass roof shade with pouch, L-track hooks and bottle opener, and dividers. The custom CA license plate is included with the sale and is transferable upon request. The vehicle comes with a clean California title in the seller’s name (lien recently settled - title is in transit from DMV).
MECHANICAL
This Cybertruck was purchased by its current owner in March 2024, who has added approximately 685 of the 700 miles shown on the odometer.
The accelerator pedal trim recall has been carried out on the Cybertruck, with proof supporting this. This follows a safety recall issued by Tesla relating to model year 2024 Cybertruck vehicles, to replace or rework the accelerator pedal assembly to ensure sufficient retention force between the pad and accelerator pedal to prevent the pad from dislodging.
Tesla has also recalled all Cybertruck wheel covers, with no shipping date yet been provided, therefore, the vehicle is offered for sale with cap and nut covers only.
The seller has advised that, whilst this Cybertruck is unmodified and is presented in excellent condition, a small scuff is visible on the lower section of one of the vehicle’s mud flaps (pictured in the gallery).
SUMMARY
The main question for any potential purchaser is, how willing are you to be the center of attention? Even once the initial furor dies down, the Cybertruck is so fundamentally different from anything else that it will never blend into traffic or disappear in a full parking lot. The Cybertruck has all the equipment that makes an excellent electric truck, with a form factor that will never be mistaken for anything else – so here’s your chance to skip the long wait and be among the first to own a modern-day cultural icon.
