MODEL HISTORY

Produced by the renowned Italian car designer Pininfarina and inspired by Formula 1, the iconic Ferrari F430 F1 Spider, a successor to the 360 Spider and sibling to the F430 Coupé, was unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. Testament to Ferrari’s rich history, its muscular aerodynamics, distinctive styling, and historical references brought it critical acclaim. Its 'Shark Nose' inspired front bumper and air intakes pay homage to the legendary 1961 F1 World Championship Ferrari 156, and the rear styling takes inspiration from the Enzo Ferrari, featuring protruding taillights, an integrated bumper diffuser, and elliptical air intakes for efficient engine cooling.

Upon its launch, it was applauded for blending performance, design and technology. Many of its technical innovations were a direct result of Ferrari’s F1 participation. The new 4.3-liter V8, with advanced F1 technology, was a standout feature, showcasing the car's capabilities. Like its predecessor, the Spider was based around an aluminum spaceframe chassis. Mechanically, it was identical to its sister Coupé, the only difference being that the chassis and body were reinforced to compensate for the lack of a roof. Perfecting the F430’s aerodynamics and flat underbody resulted in a 50 percent increase in downforce, ensuring stability and handling.

The F430 F1 Spider introduced innovations, such as the Manettino Dial on the steering wheel, which enabled drivers to adjust the car’s electronic systems. E-Diff and CST were also fitted, ensuring controlled handling and performance. Production ran from 2005 until 2010, with the model being succeeded by the Ferrari 458. Retaining the Ferrari appeal, the F430 F1 Spider's reputation has meant it has become a collectable modern classic.

The induction system and suspension are in excellent condition, and according to the seller, the transmission is smooth, whether using the paddle shifters or full automatic mode.

A full paint correction detail has also been performed, ensuring the Grigio Silverstone paintwork looks as good as new. Black Horse Garage have not performed any bodywork, nor are they aware of any having been done. The 4.3-liter V8 performs at the top of its capabilities, and the engine's red paint still looks new.

According to the seller, the undercarriage and suspension components have been cleaned and are in like-new condition. The front brake pads have 11.3mm remaining, and the rear brake pads have 9.8mm remaining.

The electrical systems function fully without any issues. Comprehensive emission tests show the F430’s engine is in excellent condition, with well-controlled levels and temperatures. With its clean exhaust system, these results reflect well on the car's maintenance and overall performance.
